I spend my day talking a lot! Getting to know my client groups, recommending solutions to their people problems and keeping senior leaders minds on their talent in the company
My love affair with HR started in my final year of an Accounting and Management degree when I realized that I in fact did not want to become an accountant much to the dismay of my mum who wanted me to walk in my father’s footsteps. HR was the elective module in my final year and I absolutely fell in love with it and went on to do a Masters and haven’t looked back since! Today, I am a people focused, data driven, trusted advisor, highly skilled in resolving multiple and complex challenges in fast paced organizations. I currently work as Strategic HR Business Partner for Global Corporate Functions, including various senior level executives/Board Members where I focus on various facets of HR including Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Reward, Diversity & Inclusion, Performance and Leadership Development. In January 2021, I co-founded a social initiative called ‘Excellerate Black Futures’ which aims to create development opportunities for young black professionals through a group talent programme as well as monthly educational and inspiration events. The community continues to grow steadily, and I have since won the ‘We Are The City’ Rising Star Award for contributions to HR & Recruitment.
I'd love to own my own business and focus on creating accessible development opportunities to young professionals as well as consult with organisations on how to attract and retain high performing talent. I also love real estate and would love to own a portfolio of profitable properties!
I'm a big foodie - eating rather than cooking! :) I also love to travel and experience new cuisines which in recent times has taken a hit give the pandemic! I am also passionate about marriages and lead a 6 week pre-marital guidance course for couples about to get married!
