I work for Accenture. Accenture offers Strategy and Consulting, Interactive, Technology and Operations services, and specialized skills to companies around the world.
I deliver system integration and outsourcing projects for clients in the Asia Pacific regions across multiple industries. I use Microsoft technologies, tools and cloud to deliver these projects.
I enjoy talking to clients and my counterparts in different countries. I love solving problems for my clients thru technology. I love bringing innovations to improve the way the world works and lives.
My day starts fairly early. All of my work is done from home now and large part of my morning is spent in online meetings. I meet my younger daughter and husband for a quick lunch and then there are more meetings. Large part of the meetings are about the current projects that I am delivering for my clients. Some of them are about new opportunities, delivering secure code, ensuring quality and about Inclusion and Diversity also. I try to spend couple of hours each work learning new things at work too.
After completing my degree in Electrical engineering, I started my career in an Electrical Power plant in India. I was the only woman on the shop floor. I worked in SAP technology in India and UK when both SAP and offshoring were nascent. In US, I worked in custom technologies for a family owned technology start-up. In the initial few years of my career, I had to quit my job many times - when my two daughters were born, and when we moved countries. I am working in Accenture for last 15 years and am very intentional about my career.
I want to keep working in technology. I want to never retire. I want to keep learning new things. I want to continue my fitness journey. I want to see my daughters enter the workforce and get all the opportunities that the world has to offer.
I like to spend time with my close group of friends. I like to read a lot. I also like to spend some time daily doing yoga, Zumba, walking or some form of exercise. Since the lockdown, I have turned into an avid gardener too.
