Andrea Putnam

Senior Content Strategist

Google

- I build superior developer experiences for the world’s largest developer community of ~13 million. - I build technical content and messaging for core developer journeys and themes on developer.android.com. - I manage how content is presented in different resource types, defining the purpose, substance, and structure of templates and modules. - I help develop and maintain the site's information architecture and user interface across site navigation, page-level navigation, cross-linking, and content discovery.

I love supporting the skill developer and learning of developers and engineers worldwide. I love empowering their technical expertise in building apps and using programing languages like Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and other developer learning.

My typical day at work includes meeting with various teams in engineering and technical writing, conducting research (user research and academic research), and creatively thinking about new and exciting ways we can empower people worldwide to gain technical expertise to achieve their career and personal goals.

I worked in higher education (at Cornell University, Harvard Medical School, and University of North Carolina) as an instructional designer. I completed a Masters degree in Instructional Design / Educational Technology as well as a Masters of Library & Information Science. I am currently working on my PhD in Education with a research focus in microlearning and Artificial Intelligence.

I look forward to continuing to apply my skills and growing in my role at Google!

I love running , cooking new and exciting meals, exploring trails and nature in North Carolina, and spending quality time with my daughter.
