Engineer Manager

I work for Google Shopping Engineering Productivity. Our mission is to accelerate Google innovation and development for Commerce, maintaining high quality and engineering excellence, and enabling productivity at scale.

I am an Engineering Manager for a team of software engineers. My role is to provide technical leadership and vision, lead roadmap planning, prioritize projects, as well as mentor and coach team members to achieve higher career advancements.

What I love about my work is the opportunity to work with so many smart, amazing, and fun people. Every day is filled with new fascinating learnings that spark my curiosity.

My typical work day is to attend multiple meetings with team members, partners, and leaders to discuss project progress and to plan new innovations.

My first experience with coding started in 8th grade, when I was randomly assigned to a coding class. I was completely attracted by the ability to use scripts to make Mickey Mouse comics move. I went on to study Computer Science in University, which then paved the path for me to join the technical industry. Due to my fascination with cartoons, animations, and games, I spend over 10 years making games as a job! My love for YouTube and online shopping eventually lead me to join Google.

In the future, I want to continue learning all the new technologies that help to shape our communities, working with and meeting amazing people, and becoming a stronger, more impactful mentor and coach for other software professionals.

I love to bake, watch YouTube, and play with the Rubik's Cube during my free time.
