I started my journey at 22 years old as a Generalist. A White woman who was a part of the LBGTQ+ community who at that time was in the closet, gave me the opportunity. She said because of my passion and assertiveness that I would get far but with challenges, but she knew I would persevere. Today she is still my mentor, who is able to live free with her partner.
