Well Operations Analyst

Schlumberger - the world's leading oilfield services provider

After working on oil rigs for a decade as an Engineer and Geologist, I now work onshore as a Well Operations Analyst which is basically an advisor for the drilling team. I calculate and monitor drilling mechanics and hydraulics and help maintain a safe and productive drilling environment.

Due to the nature of the oilfield business, I encounter a lot of different languages and cultures. I love getting to know new people and hearing about their experiences. There's a lot to learn by listening!

I used specialized software to monitor rig activities which makes my job of sorting out and comparing data easier. I then discuss with the rig engineers and drilling teams any interesting findings or recommendations.

I have a bachelor's degree in Geology and a master's degree in Petroleum Geology and Geophysics. I started as a Field Engineer before becoming a Wellsite Geologist. With experience and lots of help from my mentors, I was qualified to be an Operations Analyst.

I look forward to gaining more experience in the industry, and continue to travel and work in as many locations as I can to learn and grow both professionally and personally.

I love to play outside! I've worked mostly in Alaska and Norway and therefore have been very lucky to have endless access to skiing, hiking, fishing, and more.
