Social Entrepreneur, Advocate for Gender Equality & Girls' Leadership, Public Speaker
I am the CEO of Digital Educate, a nonprofit organization focused on providing access to digital media, education, and mentorship for underprivileged youth. Our mission is to increase girls’ participation in STEM by addressing the need for equality and diversity in the industry.
I am a high school junior who is passionate about advocating for quality education and gender equality in STEM and for girls' leadership. As the CEO of Digital Educate, I tutor and mentor elementary and middle school aged girls on programming and leadership skills and lead STEM-related events.
I love tutoring and mentoring elementary and middle school students on programming and leadership skills. It is a very humbling and heartwarming experience when a student happily says to me that she learned an important lesson in the workshop.
I am a high school student and I spend most of the day at school.
My coding and leadership journey was sparked when I was 7 years old. I attended Scratch & Python programming workshops and built circuit boards. I also gained advice from female role models in the industry. All these workshops I attended had very few girls involved. This made me realize that girls like me are facing a gap between tech and leadership abilities in the world. To share my skills and to help bridge the gender gap in technology, I co-founded my own nonprofit. Digital Educate offers free coding and leadership workshops to girls ages 8 to 13. During the pandemic, we have successfully tutored over 300 students and I hope to continue growing my organization over the years.
I hope to take Digital Educate to a global scale and to increase diversity and inclusion by mentoring passionate and enthusiastic students from all over the world.
I have been learning classical Indian dance for the past 12 years. I love to explore new areas of interest in the intersection of tech and business. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.
