Dorian Webb designs and manufactures semi-precious and precious jewelry that celebrates women, shares stories, and invites conversation. I am an artist and jewelry designer. I create jewelry that gets people talking about themselves and what is important to them.
I love how jewelry helps you share what has meaning for you, and can remind you of what is important. It also brings people joy, which is nice.
While I would like to spend all of my time designing, I often meet with clients. I also plan for events like trunk shows, where I bring my jewelry to a store, talk about my work, and sell it. I also spend more time than I would like paying bills!
I always liked making things with my hands. When I went to Yale University for my Bachelor's degree, I studied Architecture. After I graduated, I started my own jewelry company in NYC. I exhibited in a trade show, where retailers come to buy jewelry. They liked my work and started buying it. I also started making chandeliers and other beautiful things for the home. After I got married, I moved from NYC to Oakland, CA and I closed that business. Then I decided to teach other women how to start their own businesses. I liked doing that so much that I decided to restart my own business!
I'm excited to have my jewelry sold at Zales Jewelers, which will begin later in May. I am looking forward to visiting Malta in September with my family; I have never been before. I am also very excited to start another business that will help women, and I can't wait to make an announcement about that in 2025!
I love to travel. I love exploring a new place, trying new foods and meeting new people. Even learning words in a new language is fun! I am curious about other cultures and our similarities and our differences.
Never be afraid to question and explore; curiosity is magical- it helps us grow and leads us to challenge and improve the world with our unique talent.
