Cisco is a networking and software company. I write code to help the analysts and investigators on the computer security incident response team perform their investigations. Our products help track and stop hackers from getting into the company.
I love that I can see the immediate impact of my work - the products I create are implemented instantly by other members of my team! Since we are an incident response team, everything is fast-paced. It's rewarding to see the work I do be used to help make our company safer.
I spend most of my day writing code or in meetings. The meetings typically are time to connect with other folks who are working on the same projects that I am on.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and completed three internships with Cisco before joining full time. I have quite a few certifications now that I have been on this team for a few years - all centered around automation and security.
I would love to be a leader in the security space and hold a role that has a high level of purpose. I have always wanted to have a strong positive impact on the world and I am actively working toward that goal.
I enjoy kickboxing and pottery! I love to be outdoors and spend time with my loved ones.
