I work for my own companies - Kids' Chemical Solutions and Chemistry Colleen. I write chemistry comic books, create chemistry games, activities, and puzzles. I also create chemistry video content for learners ages 4 - 104 on YouTube. I am also an elementary school science teacher at St. Michael's School in Tucson, AZ.
I love sharing my passion for chemistry and encouraging girls to embrace learning about the world on a molecular level!
I wake up early to exercise, answer emails, and get presentations ready (I speak at a lot of conferences!). Then I head to school to teach science to students ages 4 - 10.
I am a first-generation college student and joined the U.S. Army to fund my college education. I attended the University of Richmond and earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. I was then able to continue my education at Penn State University, where I earned a Doctorate in Chemistry. After many years of teaching Chemistry at the university level, I am working with the younger years to help them become curious and excited about Chemistry, as well!
I am looking forward to continuing my work with Kids' Chemical Solutions, Chemistry Colleen videos, and launching an animated series to help kids embrace Molecular Literacy!
