I help identify and pursue new business opportunities, build relationships with existing customers, and develop solutions that ensure both customer needs and Cisco profits are met. This means that my team creates service quotes (pricing and description) for new and existing customers. I am always looking to create a win-win proposal, a fair price for the customer that also brings revenue into Cisco.
I love interacting with various people who hold different roles within Cisco and within our customer's organizations.
I need to be a really good listener since I am communicating not only with my internal Cisco team, but the customer. I also need to be a strong communicator to ensure that both our internal Cisco teams and our customers understand what we can and cannot provide within the current contract scope. Once I receive a quote request for services to be provided to a customer, I meet with my team. We review the request and then the team creates the quote. Once that quote is created, I review it to ensure all requests have been met. I also integrate any additional information requested into a proposal. Once all the pieces are ready, I present a full quote proposal to the customer.
I started as an NDS Engineer at Nokia, where I involved in the design, implementation, or maintenance of professional audio systems. I progressed at Nokia to Bid & Proposal Manager, where I was responsible for overseeing the creation, submission, and support of bids and proposals for potential contracts. I moved on to Nortel Networks and worked as a Global Accounts Manager, where I was responsible for building and managing relationships with key international clients. Then I moved on to Cisco Systems as an Engagement Manager, where I was responsible for the merging both overall customer experience with project alignment. In 2017, I was promoted to the role of Business Development Manager with Cisco Systems, where I have continued to grow my position.
In my career, it has always been my goal to be involved in finances of the business, while still supporting the customer. For personal development, I love to help others. Supporting nonprofits is a great experience that fills my soul. I would love to create my own nonprofit to help those in need.
I love reading at the beach. Yes, that's the best thing I can do for myself. Walking, swimming, and spending time with my family are the things I love to do the most.
