Jennifer Spille
Former Account Executive
Apple
In my last formal work role, I supported K-12 schools in Texas on behalf of Apple Education.
I loved helping my schools get creative with teaching and learning initiatives. It was very rewarding to infuse some fun into various learning goals that helped teachers create an engaging learning environment for students.
My day would typically involve meeting with School district leadership and digging to understand what problems or challenges they were facing. I often would also meet with certain curriculum or technology teams, to better educate the Apple team on ways we can be of help in being a stronger district partner.
I graduated college with an Advertising degree. Who knew I would end up in a technology role?! For the first 3 years out of college, I worked at an advertising agency. With the encouragement and connection of a college friend, Apple had an inside sales representative role. This meant speaking with customers solely over the phone - both incoming and outgoing call campaigns. After 4 years in this role, I became a manager of the inside sales teams. After 7 years as a manager, I transitioned into a Field Account Executive role. This entailed meeting with our Education customers face-to-face. I held this role for 16 years and it was the most fun job ever! I really enjoyed it and It was very rewarding. I had tremendous flexibility and freedom to schedule my work, and yet carried a lot of responsibility. I spent 27 awesome years at Apple; it is an amazing company to work for and I feel so blessed for my experiences there.
While I have semi-retired early, I am patiently evaluating next steps for something else. I want to transition into a role that would be equally as fun and rewarding, yet mentally stimulating and challenging.
My personal activities currently involve a lot of fitness related outlets - pickleball, walking, Pilates, biking, etc. I enjoy being on the move and not sitting still. I also enjoy volunteering for things - animal shelters, picking up trash, church events, etc.
