UI/UX Designer

RobustWealth - complete digital wealth platform for financial enterprises, advisors, and clients.

I design software for financial professionals who help clients reach their life goals.

I love designing and creating software products that empower finance professionals to do their job well. It is challenging and creative; there are always opportunities to learn and improve my skills. I feel like I get better every day and I love the people I work with. I receive mentorship, which is why I’m passionate about paying it forward and mentoring other young women.

I begin with the Headspace app and morning devotionals. It’s best to start you day out with a fresh and motivated mindset. I check my emails, Slack messages, Figma comments, and Confluence notifications. These are all software we use to communicate and collaborate at work. I have multiple meetings each day with Product Managers and Business Analysts who decide what project I’m going to design. I also work with Software Developers and Engineers who code what I design. It’s important for me to always take a lunch break and get some fresh air. I love listening to music and podcasts while I work. At the end of the day I close my laptop, take a deep breath, and say a blessing for another day to do what I love.

In college, I earned my Bachelors of Science in Food and Nutritional Sciences. Following graduation, I worked at a nutrition biotech company. Desiring to do something more creative , I decided to pursue UX Design and earned my online Micromasters degree from the University of Michigan. I began work at RobustWealth about two years ago and I’ve enjoyed the journey from biotech (biological technology) to FinTech (financial technology)!

I’m interested in pursuing a career that combines my interests in finance, technology, and advocacy. I love to write, speak, and build online communities. Options I’m considering include roles as a financial advisor, UX design lead, and program manager for women’s initiatives.

Outside of work, I love to read about finance and women’s empowerment, walk on the beach, garden, cook, spend time with my family, play my viola, take naps, and watch movies/documentaries that feature women leaders.
