Arm. Arm is a technology company that works in areas like Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Security and 5G. Our technology is in 95% of mobile devices and is used by more than 80% of people in the world. We help everybody from bankers to farmers, students to surgeons, and small to huge businesses develop the technology they need. We also help to ensure that the benefits of technology are extended to everyone, making the world more connected.
I am responsible for ensuring that processes are in place to help the IT department run efficiently and effectively. For example, we make sure we don’t break anything when we make changes. We also make sure that when something is broken, we deal with it as quickly as possible.
I love solving problems! There's nothing more interesting to me than bringing people together to work out how we can overcome a problem or improve on how we do something. This is the part of my job I love most!
Most of my day is spent speaking with other people - either supporting the people who work for me, planning our work, problem solving, or making improvements.
I studied IT at A levels, then completed a computer science degree at university. In my first job, I had the chance to do a graduate scheme, where I tried several different roles in IT. This gave me a good all-round experience of the industry and helped me to identify what I liked best.
I would love to be able to spend more time helping girls and women realise their full potentials!
When I'm not spending time with my family, I enjoy swimming, Pilates, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts.
