CEO

Tego Cyber Inc - We are a cyber threat intelligence company dedicated to developing intuitive, intelligence, and automated cyber threat intelligence solutions.

As a CEO, I am responsible for the vision of the company. Because of my background in software development, I am also heavily involved in the architecture and design of our cyber threat intelligence platform and work closely with our software development team.

I believe in the saying "Find a job you love and you will never work another day in your life." I have a passion for developing cybersecurity products and helping to protect businesses. I enjoy using my skills in developing software platforms to try to solve cybersecurity issues.

I start my day off with learning and research. I like to stay on top of the latest threats and trends in the cybersecurity space. Then I usually check in with our software development team to see how we are doing on product development. Then it is time to work with our marketing and sales team. A lot of my job is checking in and collaborating with teams, helping to guide them and try to solve problems they may be encountering.

I started off my college education in criminal justice, thinking that I wouldn't be successful in technology because I have always struggled with math. I have numlexia which means I transpose numbers which makes math difficult for me. But I always have worked with computers since I was a child. One day when I was sitting in my job at a computer lab, I realized that I didn't like criminal justice and decided to pursue an education in technology. I received a Bachelor's and Masters in Information Systems Management. After I got my Bachelor's, I was hired by the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations as a Software Developer. I spent 12 years overseas with the UN in Kosovo, moving up the ranks from software developer to be the Head of IT Logistics, and then Head of Software Development and Support. When I returned home to the US, I worked as the Director of Software Development for an eHealth company. In 2015, my husband, Troy, and I decided to start a cybersecurity company focused on helping small-to-medium businesses get affordable protection. We exited that company in July 2019. In September 2019, we founded Tego Cyber Inc where I serve as the CEO and Board Member.

I see myself continuing to work within cybersecurity and eventually retiring from Tego Cyber Inc. I would love to someday turn over the reigns to one of my daughters. I recently wrote and published a book about encouraging the next generation of STEM girls and I plan to continue to support efforts to get more girls interested in STEM careers, particularly cybersecurity where we make up a very small percentage of the workforce!

I love scuba diving and snowboarding. Our whole family also enjoys video games. Right now, we all play Fortnite :)
