I lead a large multi-skilled product design team at PokerStars, the world's largest poker site. Part of the Flutter group, the world's largest and most innovative sports betting and gaming companies.
I get to understand the needs of our customers and build effective design solutions for them to enable them to do business easier with us.
I meet with my team every day and check in on how they are and what work they have on. I'm the first point of contact for new design projects and discuss these with the stakeholder. We often run workshops across the business and I maybe arranging or running one of these.
I studied Fine Art and started my career working as a junior designer on a drawing board over 25 years ago at Yellow Pages. I advanced through the company and joined the digital team as a web designer and this lead to me running the design team. I then moved on to run the design team at Amazon.co.uk and got promoted to running the European design team. I then moved into mobile design and have run design teams for telecommunication companies at 3 and Vodafone. I've also worked in gaming for Betfair, media for DMG, and Fintech for Capital One.
I'm passionate about design and designing products that are accessible to all and improving user experiences and want to continue to enable peoples lives in this way.
I love to run everyday and when I can visit art galleries and go to the theatre. I'm a regular conference speaker at technology and user experience events and I'm always keen to promote women in tech. I run an annual TEDX women's event in London.
