Senior Software Engineering Manager

eBay is an online marketplace and e-commerce platform that facilitates buying and selling of a wide variety of goods and services.

I am a Senior Software Engineering Manager for the Risk organization within eBay and our team designs and implement solutions to mitigate the risks associated with eBay users. eBay has evolved over the years and has expanded its services to cater to various types of buyers and sellers, including individuals, small businesses, and large retailers. It has become a popular destination for people looking to buy and sell a wide range of products, both new and used, in an online marketplace environment.

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, I lead and mentor a team of talented software engineers. I feel it incredibly rewarding to guide and develop team members and help them grow in their careers. I love dealing with complex technical and organizational problems and finding innovative solutions to them.

I start my day going through the emails and messages to check for any urgent issues or updates. Next, I review the schedule for the day, prioritize tasks and set goals for the day. I attend team stand ups with the software engineering teams to discuss ongoing work, address any roadblocks, and ensure that everyone is on the same page. I also participate in various other meetings throughout the day, which include project planning meetings, cross functional meetings with different stakeholders, as well as 1:1 meetings with team members to provide guidance, feedback, and support.

I completed my degree in Computer Science and Engineering from India and started my career with technology services companies there. Nine years back, we moved to US and, since then, I have been working with eBay.

A positive and fulfilling career, living my passion for technology, and a happy family!!

I love reading and travelling in my free time. I love spending time with my family. It is so much fun and full of warmth, care, love and affection.

“Love your family; work super hard; live your passion.”
