Computer Science Student

Cornell University

I am currently a Computer Science student at Cornell University. Cornell University is an Ivy League school located in upstate New York. Our motto is "any person, any study", meaning anyone can pursue anything they want to! Fun fact: Cornell University was the first Ivy League university to admit women! Right now, I'm learning a variety of concepts pertaining to the field, and have strong interests in full-stack development, product design, and training machine learning models.

I love how versatile Computer Science is. Some projects I've built include a mock Wordle and an app that helps people find their lost items on Cornell campus. I enjoy learning new programming languages, and solving the problems around us using the power of tech!

My first classes everyday start around 10:10 am and usually end around 3:00 pm. Even though each day is different, I have about 3-4 classes per day, including discrete structures, OOP and data structures, physics, multivariable calculus, and web development. Some days I have quizzes and tests, but most days after class, I have about 3-6 hours of homework, as well. When I can, I attend school club events and meet friends!

Even though I still have a long way to go, my coding journey started when I was 8 years old - learning Scratch and doing coding courses on Khan Academy! Since then, I've expanded to Python, iOS app development with Swift, machine learning, web development, and so much more. What I always loved about programming is that your imagination is your limit, and I'm excited to see what the future holds.

While I'm studying technology, I have a huge passion for sustainability and environmentalism. I aspire to use the power of tech and coding to push our world towards a better future, whether its using AI to increase energy efficiency or helping spread awareness through tech!

Apart from coding, I also play tennis! I started playing a couple of years ago and play recreationally in college. I also enjoy trying to learn new recipes to cook and bake. Recently, I've been trying to recreate dishes from the Great British Bake Off!
