Setting the rules for how projects should be run at LSEG and providing the tools to help.

We are on a journey together to get better every day at what we do. I work with a really great team of people.

Looking at data to understand where we may need better process, tools or guidance to plug any data.

I left college after doing my A levels. I had applied for university, but in the meantime was working at a local company on reception. I enjoyed working and over the months and was given additional tasks to do, including processing invoices that came through the post. I was offered a full time job as Accounts Payable Assistant and ended up staying there for 9 years. Over the first two years, I worked in various roles in accounts. Then I was offered a role in Project Controls. I spent 10 years working on the project side, ensuring the projects ran to cost and schedule. Over the last 3 years, I have been working in various roles, using my knowledge to set the frameworks for how projects are delivered; the last year of which has been at LSEG.

I really enjoy my role, and hope to continue working up through this path. A really important part of work for me is the diversity and inclusion aspect - going out of my way to drive action in this space. I hope my future holds workplaces where everyone can bring their true self to work and be assured they will be treated equally.

I am a very social person, always catching up with friends and family. My husband and I enjoy going to exhibitions. We have a dog who we love taking for long walks in Richmond Park.

A career will take you down all different paths, some which you really wouldn't have expected but whilst you go. Ensure you treat others with respect, kindness, and honesty, and those same people will help you through the rocky parts.
