Delivery Coach - Strategy and Operations (Digital IT)

Arm who are the world’s leading semiconductor IP company and our technology reaches 70% of the global population. More than 180 billion Arm-based chips shipped to date and we work with an ecosystem of more than 1,000 partners across the world.

I design, articulate, train and coach ways of working across our Digital IT teams to make sure the portfolio runs effectivly and efficiently. We take Arm's corporate approach to delivering programs, projects and products and tailor it for use in the Digital IT Group.

I like being able to help and coach people to perform to the best of their abilities at work, understanding their motivations and what's important to them. I also like seeing how technology can improve how organisations work, the customer's journey and and the employee's experience.

A typical day involves talking, a lot! Talking to my team to make sure they have the direction and support they need to achieve our goals for the quarter, talking to stakeholders to make sure we are giving them the training, advice and guidance they need to do their job and talking to our Early Careers talent to make sure their ongoing development needs are being met. I host training and briefing calls to people when we're making improvements as well as organise feedback sessions to make sure the improvement or change sticks and we listen to our teams! I also spend time reading about new ways of working or changes to things like the Scrum framework and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to establish if there's new ideas we can use to help us deliver programs, projects and products differently.

I really don't know what the future holds at the moment and don't like to do long term planning! I'll probably move back into a delivery management / leadership role (Program Manager, Senior Scrum Master etc) at somepoint in the future to make sure I'm keeping my skills up to date!

Spend time with family and friends Walking, gym, dance Watch TV and a lot of Marvel films Knit the little hats that go on the top of Innocent Smoothie bottles!

"Do the next right thing" Queen Anna of Arendelle (yes from Frozen 2!) although I think the original quote is from Grand Pabbie. The reason I like it is that change can be hard and overwhelming but doesn't need to be. We just need to do the next right thing given what we currently know.
