I love everything about coding. I am a techie at heart, and solving big-scale problems little at a time - it's like building a puzzle. When it all finally comes together, it is beautiful.
Lots of meetings :) Some are a lot more fun and enjoyable than others! Most of my time is spent in making sure that the execution and delivery of our projects are on track, taking care of team health and morale, removing impediments for the teams, and sometimes making tough decisions. As a technology leader, I also set the technology vision for the organization and make sure that we are on track to deliver on those, as well.
I come from very humble beginnings and hail from a small town in Southern India. Growing up, I always had a strong interest in mathematics and problem-solving, which grew into my love for coding. Curiosity to learn, hard work, and dedication is what got me here. Working hard, when you have a family to take care of, traveling long distances to get to work, dedicating yourself to your goal, in spite of numerous obstacles; these were the foundation of my journey.
Whatever I do, wherever I am, I want to give back. I want to encourage young girls to look beyond the now, persevere, and move ahead. The world needs more women leaders. I want to encourage more women at the start of their careers to pursue the path in STEM and leadership, and not be intimidated by or demotivated by obstacles that come your way.
I love doing meditation, cooking and some gardening. I have to say that my latest obsession is my dog, Daisy.
